Ingredients

  • 1 tub (8 ounces) Kraft® Philadelphia Whipped Cream Cheese
  • 4 ounces herbed goat cheese
  • 4 medium vine ripened tomatoes, 1/4-inch thick slices
  • 20 fresh basil leaves (about 1 bunch)
  • 1 Olive Oil
  • 1 pinch Kosher salt
  • 1 pinch Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the cream cheese and goat cheese. Spoon into a decorative bowl and place the bowl in the middle of a platter. Arrange the tomato slices and basil leaves around the bowl of herbed cheese. Sprinkle the tomatoes with salt and pepper.
  2. To serve, pass the platter and have your guests top each tomato slice with a dollop of the herb cheese mixture. Drizzle with olive oil and garnish with a basil leaf.
  3. Note: For a warm appetizer, place half of a tomato slice on a thin slice of crusty bread. Spread a spoonful of the herbed cream cheese mixture over the tomato and place under a broiler just until the cheese begins to bubble (about 2 minutes). Remove from the oven and drizzle with olive oil. Garnish with a fresh basil leaf.

That's so deconstructed that I wouldn't consider it caprese. It's more like a tomato and basil plate with dip.
