Ingredients

  • 8 ounces softened Philadelphia Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 6 tablespoons real bacon bits, reserve 2 Tablespoons for top
  • 4 large leaves iceberg lettuce
  • 4 Roma Tomatoes (small oblong tomatoes about the diameter of the melba toast)
  • 16 melba toast, roasted garlic flavor (approx. 2” rounds)

Directions

  1. In a bowl combine first 5 ingredients until smooth.
  2. Using a melba toast round as a pattern, cut out a circle of lettuce a little larger than the toast for each appetizer. Pat the lettuce so it is dry.
  3. Cut off the ends of the tomatoes and thinly slice the tomatoes.
  4. To assemble the BLT’s…place the lettuce round on the toast, then spread the cream cheese mixture on top of the lettuce thickly. Place a tomato on top of that and then a small dollop of the cream cheese mixture on top. Sprinkle with remaining bacon bits. Makes 16 BLTs
  5. Make Ballgame Pennant Flags by cutting out oblong diamond shapes out of paper. Add logos glued or printed on each side of flag. Fold diamonds in half and glue on colored toothpicks. Insert into top of BLT.
