These fun tarts were inspired by ever-popular S'mores, but with an uptown twist. Philly cream cheese is the secret ingredient that makes the chocolate filling of the fillo tarts so perfectly creamy and delicious. These are great for every occasion from dinner parties to picnics. Pack a couple into a lunch box for a special treat. My favorite way to serve them is warm and gooey fresh from the oven.

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 4 ounces Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 15 (one 1.9-oz. box) frozen mini fillo shells
  • 45 miniature marshmallows

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. For filling, in a medium microwave-safe bowl, microwave chocolate chips on High for 45 seconds to 1 minute; stir until melted and smooth. Stir in cream cheese, powdered sugar and vanilla until well blended.
  2. Spoon about 1/2 tablespoon filling into each shell; arrange on rimmed baking sheet. Top each tart with 3 miniature marshmallows.
  3. Bake for 5 to 7 minutes or until marshmallows are light golden brown.

Though I have used these filo shells for many things, I have never thought about toasting marshmallows on top. What a ggreat idea.
