There is a fabulous pizza joint in Atlanta Georgia that has the best calzones and strombolis ever. As a broke single female right out of college, my roommates and I would walk over on Saturdays and split a stromboli and salad. I wanted to re-create that amazing flavor at home without a lot of fuss. Packed with spinach, ricotta and pepperoni and flavored with PHILADELPHIA Italian Herb & Cheese Cooking Creme, the Holey Moley Super Simple Stromboli takes me back to those Saturdays with good friends and good food!

Ingredients

  • 5 ounces PHILADELPHIA Italian Herb & Cheese Cooking Creme
  • 13 ounces Refrigerated Pizza Dough
  • 4 ounces Sandwich sliced good quality pepperoni
  • 7 ounces Ricotta cheese
  • 10 ounces Frozen Spinach, thawed and squeezed dry

Directions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Unroll pizza dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet and flatten outward starting in the center until it is a nice rectangle. 3. Thaw and squeeze spinach dry. 4. Combine spinach, ricotta cheese and cooking creme in a small bowl. 5. Spread spinach mix over the center of the pizza dough leaving about 2" of dough exposed all the way around the outside. 6. Top spinach mix with pepperoni slices. 7. Fold short ends of dough over pepperoni and spinach. 8. Bring long sides of the dough together in the center and press the seam to seal. 9. Cut three slits in top of dough. 10. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown. 11. Optional- serve with marinara sauce for dipping.

This looks great. If your son ate it even with the spinach that says a lot about this dish!!! Very nice photo
