I know you are filled with great information when it comes to dinning out and would really love a few suggestions for places to eat while on vacation. I'm in search of inexpensive eateries with great food! DC, Philly and NY City will be our stops along the way so, anywhere that is close to National monuments or tourist attractions would be a great help. I would prefer to stay away from fast food if I can help it. We also don't need to go overboard and eat 4 stars either.
I'd also like to hear from those of you who might know of clean places to stay that will accommodate 2 teenagers and two adults under 250.00 per night. I know that may be a crazy expectation, especially in NY and DC but still would like to hear your suggestions!
Brooklyn Diner is one of my favorites....There's one near Lincoln Center. Their Chicken Pot Pie is incredible! Have fun! On one of our visits Jerry Seinfeld was sitting in the back when we walked in. Such fun.
Where are you planning on being located in NYC? Some places people are mentioning could really be out of your way depending on where you're staying. Another thing is that hotels really do get booked, and you may need to call around to find something. My suggestion would be that if you don't find something right in the city, be willing to find something outside of the city. We have plenty of trains and public transportation outside of the city that will get you to where you want to go if nothing is available at the time you want to be there. There is a bed and breakfast I wrote about that isn't far from public transportation, and the owners are really nice people. http://hudsonvalleyhandymom.com/?p=167
Thank you all for the suggestions! We're still working on accommodations because my husband is a last minute guy! Always makes planning a bit more troublesome. Im making a list so Keep the ideas coming.
