Deborah welcome!! I guess it depends on what you are using the cooking creme for as to how much you would use. Maybe start with one of the recipes on the container. I like the italian varieties best. Of course some of the RWOP ladies will eat it right out of the container on a cracker. Start with a smaller amount and add until whatever you make is the consistancy you like.

@ Deborah, I am totally new to the cooking cremes myself. I am glad that there are a lot of recipes to follow here alone on the site. I will post some photos soon.

Deborah, I have used the cooking cremes in several different ways, and I agree with Steelmom. (Did you know that she's my favorite RWOP "Mom"?) They are designed to make cooking a breeze because they are already perfectly seasoned with particular herbs and spices so that all one has to do is pour, or spoon, them in, stir, and dinner is served. So, if you are making a casserole, for example, for a family, you might use the whole container. However, if you are making a small batch of appetizers, you might use less. It will depend what you're making, and your particular taste. For reference, take a look at some of the recipes in the gallery that use cooking creme, or go to www.lovemyphilly.com for more ideas!♥

According to http://www.columbiatribune.com/weblogs/community-kitchen/2011/mar/02/product-review-philadelphia-cooking-creme/

"Cooking Creme has the consistency of thick yogurt and can be spooned into dishes. Kraft markets it as an interesting alternative to cooking with condensed soups."
