Okay I am great with my vid camrea in natural lighting setting or natural indoor lighting, BUT my kitchen is such that there are no windows and no natural light comes in from anywhere so I get a mutted dark yellow gloomy feel in my vidoes in the kitchen. Anythoughts on how to get a more natural bright light feel for my vid? THANKS!!!

LOL Thanks Stephanie I thought same thing drag in all my mobile lamps to the kitchen hahah but I have galley kitchen so can't really place a bunch of lights behind me (no room) as they will certainly be more of a focus than I am lol a girl standing there surrounded by tall lamps everywhere..hum might make people wonder about me in general lol. I have light colored coutertops so mabe getting a few lights around the outside waking in area of my kitchn and tilting and hoping all that light bounces off will do the trick. Thinking now I should have bought the reflectors I eyed awhile back for my general photography I do would certainly come in handy now. Good Luck to you as well and again thanks for the tips!!!!

Hi girls! I would not worry too much...I'm not...because I shot my video after work and it was a blizzard, so NO natural lighting...what to do...I think they are looking at our great recipes not our lighting skills...although it sure helps to make it look good! WOW...everyone is doing such a great job!

Hi,
I had the yellow proplem too. My counters are dark so that really doesn't help. I tried the lamp thing and they are all too tall (hit the top cabinets). I even stuck a couple of battery puck lights under my top cabinets but it still looked dark. Let's hope they aren't putting too much emphasis on our lighting, but if anyone has any suggestions I'm open.

I used my stove top light actually. It made my food come up brighter than my normal kitchen light, which i thought was odd. But also on your camera there should be a way to set it for a darker room so that it will brighten the picture. :)

I am going to be filming my video in a room with all bright fluorescent lighting. Is there anything I can do to help that situation or just let it go and flow with it.

I was stressing about the light too, there were shadows all over the video. My kitchen is in the dark most of the time so I have to use the big one source light over me. The idea about the lamps is good but I just have one lamp, and not much money to spend. My husband told me that he does not care about the light as long the food tastes delicious. At the end of filming the video we had the finish side dish as midnight snack. Since just 16 ladies will be selected, there will be more then 250 disappointed women. I know every body is very competitive and wants to win. Do not stress, let's have fun doing what we love: cooking!!!!!! good luck every one!! I am getting crazy with a lot of good recipes.
