In my kitchen we have cabinets hanging over the stove and counter. My face and head is covered by the cabinets if I'm filmed from the other side of counter, which is the spot where you would be able to see me and the stove. What should I do?
Hi Michelle! So happy to have working on your recipe video here at Real Women of Philadelphia! Terry is indeed correct. It really is about your recipe and personality, don't worry at all about your kitchen. But, if you'd like a suggestion. ONE SUGGESTION: You may want to focus the majority on your presentation in a place where we can see your face. ;) Perhaps next to your kitchen table? And then when you want to show certain cooking aspects (stove, oven) focus on the food for those aspects. SECOND SUGGESTION: Play with your space. Have fun with it. If you're cramped and are ducking down just to be seen on camera, make a joke out of it. Don't be afraid to laugh and just have a good time. And enjoy it! The greatest thing is your ability to share the recipe and enjoy doing it. Wishing you all the best!
I too have a small kitchen and the lighting is not so good. I will have to prep at my kithcen table then turn to the stove. No one wants to see my rear.
Like Matt said just have fun with it and your real personality will come through. If (when ) we win there will bew plenty of time to get serious. For now relax and enouy its just a recipe and food you know and love
