Hey Everyone!
Making the perfect sauce may look simple, but with all of the time and hard it requires, a cook will need a little help, right? That’s where immersion blenders come in!

Professional chefs have known the benefits of immersion blenders (sometimes called hand or stick blenders) for years, but more at-home cooks are snapping up these tools as well. We’ll tell you why
- Much smaller than traditional blenders, and are light and portable.
- Easier to clean and store than stand-alone blenders.
- Ever try talking while using a noisy blender? Immersion blenders are virtually silent since the motor is encased in a plastic handle and the blade is muffled by whatever you may be mixing.
- These hand-held appliances can also chop and dice, making them extremely versatile!
If you plan on whipping together a dish that calls for a homemade sauce like SANDI’S PRETTY PENNE & SAUSAGE WITH TOMATO BASIL VODKA SAUCE, you’ll definitely want to have an immersion blender nearby!

Sandy congrats on being showcased. I could not live without my blender for bread dough. I the sauce I could not live without is spagetti, homemade of course. -
Congrats Sandy! I LOVE my immersion blender and couldn't make curried zucchini soup without it. If I could live with only one sauce it would be hollandaise!! -

Wow, just checked in after work and saw my recipe here - thanks RWOP!
I LOVE my immersion blender and use it for so much more than I thought I would! It's great for things I used to use the blender for, but you don't want to drag out the big blender and clean-up is a breeze! I do use a counter top blender for SOME things though, and I would have to agree with Lisa K... Margaritas! Also pesto's. My only sauce if limited to one? My special Italian red sauce - so good and works in lasagna, spaghetti, pizza & more! -
I couldn't make my healthy morning smoothies without my blender.
If I could have just one sauce, it would be pesto! -
I could not make my Curried Buttercup Soup or my Roasted Red Pepper Sauce without one!
Roasted Red Pepper Sauce is the sauce I can't live without - or if you are talking bottled sauces - Siracha! Lol. -
I could not make potato pancakes without my blender and if there was no other sauce left in the world but one, make it apple sauce with cinnamon. -
I couldn't make my smoothies without my blender and if I can have one sauce it would be a basic tomatoe sauce because you can do alot of things with it. -
I couldn't make my special smoothie style treats without my blender (these treats can vary in ingredients and not all people agree they're "real" smoothies. Sometimes I make them more like shakes for the children (but they still have all that lovely nutrition in there from the fruits/veggies & secret ingredients. If I could have only one sauce it would need to be alfredo. You can alfredo almost anything and make it edible (and vary the texture from heavy to light, etc). Blenders are necessary, but I do prefer the newer style ones like the bullets, Ninjas, etc. I dont know that I have ever tried a true immersion blender (handheld). I think that would be incredibly helpful! -
I couldn’t make smoothies or milk shakes without my blender!
If I could have just one sauce, it would be spaghetti sauce! -
My husband came with one! Thanks goodness! When I married him, he had one, and I won't tell him that's part of the reason I said "YES!" -
I couldn't make my smoothies without my blender. If I could have just one sauce it would be enchilada sauce. -

I guess if I had to choose one sauce it would be something Tex Mex :) -
I couldn't make tomato preserves, smoothies, or black bean soup without my immersion blender!! If I could only have one sauce, it would be my Apricot Lavender Balsamic sauce. (my own recipe) It is sweet, savory, and has a hint of lavender. Amazing on chicken and polenta! -
Great recipe by Sandi; I love all things Italian. So, if I could only have one sauce it would be a bolognese. Can't make creamy tomato soup without my blender....or a frozen margarita (: -
Congrats Sandi on the spotlight. Your recipe looks incredible! Well, I couldn't make my chocolate malts without my blender. If I could only have one sauce, it would be picante sauce! Love my Mexican food! -
