Hey Everyone!
Our community is made up of some of the best cooks and chefs around, so of course most of you have a baster! But if you're not entirely sure how to baste your favorite poultry, we have a few tips for using a baster like a pro!

- Always place the turkey baster into the liquid at an angle.
- To release the liquid in a controlled manner gently squeeze the bulb.
- Never use a cracked or damaged baster.
- For more succulent dishes, baste the bird every 25-30 minutes.
These tips will definitely come in handy when you try to make this gourmet SPINACH AND ARTICHOKE CORNSH GAME HEN recipe by MINDIE HILTON.

Sure chicken is by far the most popular fowl, but what other bird comes in a close second for you?
A. Turkey
B. Cornish Game Hen
C. Duck
D. Something else!

Turkey -- especially at Thanksgiving. I'm already planning my menu for this year's holiday. -
Turkey! Our family LOVES turkey as a matter of fact I made one last week when the Autumn Chill hit Northern Colorado. We not only love the turkey dinner, we love turkey sandwiches and Turkey pockets made with Cream Cheese :) -

I would choose a crisp Vietnamese-inspired quail with a salt, pepper and lime dipping sauce! -
Quack,Quack!! It's duck that my favorite with crispy skin and roasted to a perfect medium. Yum! -
Turkey! I fix it several times a year. I also use it in Chili and other dishes to make them a little healthier:) -

I use my baster for transferring liquid to other places but turkey is my favorite then chicken -
This is a non-cooking suggestion. When you buy that baster, pick up a couple extra. They're great for moving ANY liquid. I use a baster for transferring paint from a large can to a small container--there's no mess that way--and a baster is a lot easier to clean than a paint can with a lot of paint gunked into the ridges along the top. I'm just really careful to keep the 'paint' baster with my brushes, so it's never used for food. -
Cornish game hen is my favorite. It's just the right size when cooking for one, and it's plenty if you have a guest. -

Cornish game hens are my favorite. I make the most delicious moist game hens. Chicken comes in second. -

D Something Else... I hate dry old tasteless Turkey. I love greasy Goose and juicy Chicken Baking Hens. -
