Hi Real Women of Philadelphia!
The planning advice you all gave this week is sure to come in handy this fall, but one RWOPer gave some great tips on how to use a melon baller that we just had to share!
colleenlucky7: "I use a melon baller to make perfect rum balls, date nut balls, meat balls, Christmas cookie balls...it makes them all uniform in size and shape... but the kids really get a kick of a few mashed potato balls on a plate with a drizzle of garlic butter and parsley or gravy... We do this for the fun of it! Play With Your Food!"
Thanks for the fantastic advice, colleenlucky7! We'll keep your tips in mind!

I love the holidays and have been celebrating them with family for may years. Love to plan and create delicious food. Many of the dishes have the flavor or delicious New Philadelphia products. Am waiting to try the creamed corn recipe. Have a blessed Thanksgiving. -
I love to plan all types of parties from family dinners to Holiday Socials for work to conferences for a couple hundred people. I love to see people enjoy the efforts and hard work that went into it.
The first thing I do when planning is to determine a theme and budget and the rest just seems to fall in place after that. -
I love to plan for anniversaries. It's rare these days to find that special someone that you want to spend the rest of your life with. so when you do the celebration of that joining together of two people becoming one annually just melts my heart. -

I live cocktail parties, I love the social and nibleing on all the different appitizers, in fact our community is in the process of planning a golf cart poker run..different tropical drinks and a snack at each house on the run (: ... -
I love to plan for something different and unique - I love to shake things up and do them differently everytime, so people will be looking forward to next event knowing they're going to get something they never had before. Being creative and having a few receipes that you can never stray away from at any event is good, but I love to add in new receipes along with those to keep everyone wondering what's next... -

I Love to plan birthday dinners for my family. We all have a great time and I'm always looking for new recipes. -
I'm not a party planner. I don't enjoy entertaining. But when I used to have get-togethers with the women in my Bible study group, my favorite thing to bring was vegetable pizza made with cream cheese, crescent rolls and lots of vegetables. I never got to take any home :( -
I love to plan and cook for our annual tailgate party at school. My favorite recipe is a cream cheese crab dip. So delicious! I always double the recipe so my husband can share in the tailgate, too! -
