My Kitcheb]n Aid is now over 30 years old. I have raised 6 children and one husband with the help of my kitchen Aid. If I should win a new one my old one will be passed down to one of my sons.
One if my favorite recpues using Balsamic vinagar is to layer fresh sliced tomatoes , fresh spinich , fresh Motzerella, and very thin sliced mushrooms onto a nice crusty roll half, top with a small amt of paper thin sliced ham or procuttio, drissle wi th olive oil and balsamic Vinagar, A wonderful small snack, served with some Honey crisp, apple slices...... -
Balsamic Vinegar is a new staple for me in my pantry I love it. I love it in dressings and marinades. Just the other night I took balsamic vinegar,S & P,soy sauce, garlic, tiger seasoning and put it with cut up zucchuini, eggplant, squash, onion, carrots, potatoes and mushrooms letting it marinade. Then I sauteed in butter when almost done I put in oven on cookie sheet with my pork chops that were like 5 min. from being done and sprinkled with parm cheese it was wonderful. -
I have always wanted a Kitchen Aid Mixer! Some of my best memories are with my best friend Tracey in her kitchen making homemade bread and pasta with the help of her Kitchen Aid! They seem to be so versitle with all the attachments and I love the fact you can interchange all the attachments. I want to try homemade ravoli and sausage. Baking and cooking with love and heart is so special! Whether I win a Kitchen Aid or not someday I will have one with all the attachments my heart desires! -
The Cheesy Spinach Loaf sounds so good. I have wanted a Kitchen Aid mixer for so long but could never afford it on my limited income. Sure would be a nice Birthday present.... -

I use Balsamic vinegar in a lot of my recipes. One of my favorite is to reduce it with sugar for a glaze on bbq'd fruit. Also use it as a sauce for roasted vegetables. Yum Yum!! -

I actually found a recipe for Balsamic Chocolate truffles. - they sounded fabulous.....also for fall I like to reduce balsamic vinegar with a little honey and toss with some roasted butternut or buttercup squash, sometimes I toss in some apples and serve it all over spinach!
Also just tossing some balsamic vinegar into your favorite spaghetti sauce, or just splash some well aged balsamic on strawberries = Fabulous! -
That romaine salad sounds so fresh and tasty Judy: You can seriously make that in minutes! Who knows how to use balsamic for fruit or dessert recipes? Maybe as a reduction or how about with strawberries? Any suggestions for fall balsamic recipes? -
Cut a head of romaine in half length-wise. Drizzle with EVOO & balsamic vinegar. Season with Kosher salt and ground black pepper. Grill each side until wilted and charred. Delicious! -
Just love cooking with balsamic vinegar and have learn more about it over the past several years. You want to invest in a good quality product, it is like chocolate, buy the best you can afford for quality and flavor. Look for one that is aged 10 plus years as a minimum. I recently have tested a few recipes using it in desserts, and find these very interesting!
My winning appetizer party-pleaser recipe from Season 2 has balsamic vinegar in it and is really is a tasty little tart!
