Hi Everyone!
Though the month of January calls for warm drinks like coffee, cappuccinos and cider, we couldn't get over this new trend taking over the world of cool drinks: flavored ice cubes!
All you have to do is add your favorite fruit in an ice cube tray, fill it up with water and voila – flavored ice cubes that add that special something to your cocktails!

We love the idea of adding blueberries and strawberries to your ice cubes, but you can also try adding a sprig of mint or lavender as well!
Have you given flavored ice cubes a try? What ingredients would you put together? Tell us about your cool creations in the Comments section below!

We used to do things like that as kids. We'd freeze them and put toothpicks in them to make mini-popsicles.

I'm watching snow come down and looking at flavored ice cubes. Let's do some hot cocoa!!!! Brrrrrrr.....
Does anyone have a great punch recipe to share (non-alcoholic)? I actually need one for an event.

I love the photos of the beautiful fruits in ice... so cool and refreshing!~
I've also used ice cube trays to freeze herbs and broths for cooking... but this past week during our vacation, my youngest Mia Rose was whipping up ice cube coolers out of all sorts of things... my personal favorite were the ones made with Coke! Orange juice and cream was her favorite!
Nancy, I'm going to give your orange liquer, tequila pops a shot! They sound divine! xo

These are all inviting. I have cubed my fresh mint leaves for future mojitos... worth doing! I so make coffee ice cubes, bacon grease ice cubes, broth ice cubes and herb ice cubes... I have done the ice rings too for punches. Last one was watermelon puree seasoned with thyme, orange liquer, tequila and simple sugar! Beautiful and delicious!

Gotta say I've never tried flavored ice cubes, but I have made ice rings for punches with fruit in them. I'm keeping this idea in mind for spring/summer-I can just taste freshly-made lemonade with raspberry-filled ice cubes!!! What a great idea!

I love lemon water and I love strawberry lemonade so I would try lemon and strawberries, but that blueberry & strawberry one looks delish!
