I simply adored a meal from the garden. Mama would go to a lot of trouble to cut and scrape fresh ears of corn to make creamed style corn. Then she would cut okra, dip it in corn meal and fry it. With fresh sliced tomatoes and her homemade cornbread I never wanted any meat with this meal. As you can no doubt realize I am from the

Growing up I loved Moms meatloaf and Dads cream salmon and the special treat was homemade pudding with real whipped cream...thank you for my memories! -
I have always enjoyed eating my mother's Chicken Mole with a side of her delicious rice and beans. Not to mention the wonderful little homemade flour and corn tortillas to go with my meal. She's awesome! -

My favorite food to eat growing up was my grandmother's homemade potato soup. It was all of our comfort food! She would fix a pan of cornbread to go with our soup. Seriously not a diet friendly food! -
