Hello Real Women of Philadelphia,
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: There’s no community like the Real Women of Philadelphia community!
The entire RWOP Team would like to thank each and every one of you who helped to make the Your Kitchen of Dreams contest and the KitchenAid Daily Giveaway a huge success. Your hard work and dedication means the world to us, and we couldn’t do any of this without you!
We’ve put together this Thank You Card that you can download HERE as a small token of our appreciation. Print it, fill it out, and give it to someone you want to thank!
Speaking of "thank yous," there is probably a Real Woman in your life that you’d like to thank, right? Maybe it’s your mom for being so wonderful, your sister for being so supportive?
We'll get the "thank yous" started: DEBBIE FABRE, thank you for being an amazing RWOP cheerleader!
Now it's your turn. Say "Thank You" to the Real Women that mean the most to you, whether it is someone in your life or someone on this site, and tell us what makes them so special!

My mom is the most important women in my life. When she was young (16)she had to step in run her fathers restaurant, when he was ill. She taught my sisters and I how to cook from a very young age, which lead to our love of cooking. She taught us morals and values. She was able to be a stay at home mom and was always there for my sisters and I when we needed that shoulder to cry on, or someone to laugh with. We are blessed to have such a wonder women in our lives. Love You MOM -
Carmell introduced me to this group, and I hope I can at least half as good and sweet as her! And I'm grateful for my wonderful husband who supports me in anything I do, even when I get a little crazy ha ha :) -
On this site, I would have to say my dear friends the other 15 finalists from last season. We became very close and are still friends today. I love knowing that I will forever have wonderful, strong, encouraging beautiful women in: Paula T., Carmell, Sharon, Monica, Bekah, Beth, Rachael, Kirsten, Paula M., Josee, Amy, Rebecca, Heather, and Debbi (Nana). My love to you always, Kelly -

My sweet & precious mom is the most important women in my life. I am so thankful I still have her with me in this life although she lives by herself in another state 350 miles away from me. I trust the Lord to take care of her. Mom gave me a deep appreciation for home cooking and in her younger days she could rock out in the kitchen:) -
MY mother is the most important person in my life. She has given me support when I needed it, life is tough sometimes everyone needs someone special. She also has taught me everything there is to know about cooking, she actually made us cooking videos for Christmas, they were funny and informative, most of all we will have them forever. -
Lisa Keys, I would love to have you spend a day in my Kitchen. Debbie Fabre and I plan on visiting each other this next year, so if your in our neck of the woods, by all means stop by and join us. Be ready to laugh and have a good time. Once Debbie and I get going, we laugh until our stomachs hurt <3 Something tells me we would have a blast cooking with you <3 -
I would have to thank my daughter, Arin. She is my hero, my best friend, my angle. She has made me so proud over the last 6 years. She is serving in the Air Force currently in England. When she was stationed in Japan she donated to a relief fund when they were pumbled by the tsunami. She would do anything to help people in need. Recently she remembered her best friend who died years ago by sending her parents flowers in rememberance of her. She is still in contact with them from time to time. If she could save all the animals in need she would. From being a picky eater when she was a kid she sure does try new stuff now, especially after living in Japan for 3 years. I think she is gonna be a good cook and entertainer like her momma. -
I would like to thank the most important women in my life: my mother, sisters, and friends who have been dubbed the "gal pals". I'm thanking them not only for their love and support, but also for their inspiration for my recipes, staying up with me while I test a recipe, hanging out with me in the produce section of the grocery store, being my camera person for seasons one and two, and serving as my taste testers. -
I would like to send up a prayer to my grandmother and mother to thank them for making me who I am today. -

My friends Ellen and Kathy and Kathy. There is nothing in this world so hard or bad or terrible that these ladies wouldn't somehow share, make easier or endure alongside me. God looked out for me when he brought them into my life for sure. -
Mama, for sure. She's my best friend as well as being the best mother. I can tell her anything. She always has time, and takes time, for me no matter what. Whenever I'm sick, she'll still fix me creamed potatoes as well as whatever fresh fruits and vegetables she can get. She doesn't complain even when she should.
She's so appreciative when I cut her toe nails for her; you'd think she won the lottery. She doesn't expect things from others, but always gives of herself. She never hurts people's feelings, even when they're hurting hers. She's just real special. Mama is always there for me and everyone she knows! -
What a great day and great women. Just a special thank you to all of you, especially Audrey Mack, Carol Anne, Merry Graham, Joan, Nancy M., Lisa Keys, and Pamela Meredith for the sweet things you said about me. I hope I got the others in my first posting...just couldn't lay my head down tonight without saying thank you and feeling so blessed because of you all. I'm just so glad that this journey isn't over...but just beginning...no matter what tomorrow brings, I say bring it on. The best is yet to come. -

Ladies (and Gents)there have many 'real' women in my life in addition to you. The one I remember the most is my Mom who taught me almost everything I know about cooking. Sadly, she has left us but, I can still her her voice whenever I'm cooking one of her dishes (yes Mom, I'll remember to stir in one direction). Love Ya! -
I am blessed to have an absolutly wonderful Mother, a super sweet Daughter and very special Grandmother all of whom I love very much. Also my very dear friend Tanya, the time we spend together keeps me sane!
I'd also like to reconize all of the women who contribute recipes to the ROWP site. I have found and tried so many of them since becoming a member. You are all so very creative and it's fun to see all your commments on her daily. Thanks! -
I want to shout out to Debra and Shannon too. They made me feel right at home as soon as I got here. I'm totally a newbie. Also wanted to clarify a macaroon post of all things. I've noted I haven't any sisters, and I don't. But posted that my Brother in law made a lovely batch of Macaroons this past Christmas. Which would make absolutely no sense. He's my 'ex' sister in laws husband of 20 something years and I love them both. We just roll like that. Family trees are so confusing. He's also a construction worker. I still can't get close to explaining the beautiful Macaroons ! lol! -
First of all I want to thank everyone who put together this website. I think this is a wonderful website and I am happy to be a member. I really enjoy reading the recipes. I am always looking for ways to spice up family dinner time. I would also like to thank my sister Kat. She has been by my side thru the good times and the bad times. We depend on each other for support. She is not only my sister, she's also my best friend. Here's to you Kat! I love you! -
Ladies, I'm just blown away with gratitude. This community has given me so much and I'm so glad that to think that I may have touched any of you in a positive way. Thank you Merry Graham, as wonderful as you are, meeting you in person was awesome <3 Juliana Pharmcook, thank you so much :) Noelle Myers, you bless this community everyday with your presence and I cherish your friendship. This is one incredible group of talented and sweet ladies. -
I would like to thank my mother for teaching me the skills I have in the kitchen. I have so many memories of growing up and baking, cooking, canning etc with her. I usually was the one that got stuck washing the dishes,no such thing as a dishwasher at our house. She put so much love into everything she made. She passed away 6 yrs ago and there is such an empty spot in my heart. She never did any contesting because we really didn't know how to get into something like that. She would have loved this site and all of the kind, helpful people on here. There are so many on here that are Real Women for sure. Everyone on this site is an inspiration to me. -
First, a big shout out to DF! And then to Shannon I for her gorgeous photos. I'd love to spend a day in both of your kitchens. Next to Nancy A and Claudia S-L--you girls kept my heart beating. xoxo
Finally, RWOP thanks for sharing the link to Patriotic Baker--love it!
