We love push pop cakes..

Our customers, including many in the PA., region are having a great success with thier bakeries and catering events.
You can use either mini cupcakes to fill them with or use one of the cylinders as a cutout for sheet cakes. This will give the cylinder a more filled look. You can also fill them with cheesecake. Of course we reccommend Philly Cream Cheese for this!
If you use the cylinder to cut out the cake from a sheet cake, we suggest baking your sheet cake in a half sheet pan verses a quarter sheet. The half sheet pan will create a thinner layer of cake.
If you would like me to post some ideas and recipes, let me know and I will get some posted here for you all.

I just made this rootbeer cake... So good, I think the right bites in push pop would be great.
The goal would be to make it taste like a rootbeer float...
Root beer cake
1.5 sticks of butter
1.5 cups of packed brown sugar
3 eggs
2 teaspoons ground cloves
3 cups of cake flour
1.5 cups of a and w root beer
2 teaspoons of baking soda
3 tablespoons of cocoa powder
1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
mix dry, mix wet seperately
incorporate slowly together
bake at 350 on floured and greased pan.
I would alternate levels of this cake with vanilla frosting then, cream cheese frosting on top.

I think I feel a push pop party coming on! Thanks for introducing me to this totally cool idea! My little chicks are gonna flip, and I'll definitely be rewashing too!
Has anyone noticed the shops call Nothing Bundt Cakes, popping up? We got one across the street from my salon and now I've tried them all!!! They are so moist and fun to have instead of plain old cupcakes. monixo

Hi Mandy
Would you be willing to share the specs for the push-pop holder? My husband made me a block to hold my cookie pops but initially he made them to close. How far apart are the holes in your block for the push-pops? Thanks so much. Lisa

Love those push pop cakes! I make them all the time and since I'm so cheap, I wash the containers and re-use them instead of throwing them away. :)
There are a few links on my blog post for where to buy them. If you want a bunch, wholesale is the cheapest way to go. If you only want a few, you can purchase them on Etsy.

Looks like a fun and easy way to do something different when entertaining! Looks a little hard to eat though, I think a jell-o or pudding cake push-pop, without the globs of frosting would be colorful and easier to eat!

I just bought a box of 100 from culinarydirect.com. They are very nice and reusable....and they are made in Italy (being Italian I love that). I am very excited to try them.

Jennifer, definitely check out your local craft store or speciality baking store for these containers! Amy, how do red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting push-pop cakes sound?!

I also saw them a few months ago, and loved them so much I ordered some push pops so I could make my own! They are so neat looking!!
I have even layered jello in them to make a "rainbow" pop. :) -

I actually saw these a few months ago when they first came out! I was so impressed and actually taken back to when I was a kid...the Swann's truck would come through our neighborhood and I would beg my mom to buy the orange sherbet push pops. I loved them as a kid!
I admit that cake and frosting is way better than orange sherbet and have been wanting one of these since I saw them! If they were served at a party, I would definitely go for the one with the chocolate cake and vanilla frosting. What flavor would you go for first?
