Hi Real Women of Philadelphia!
We're adding a little zest to Spotlight Week with a tangy chicken recipe!
Today's spotlight is on the member who used Philadelphia Cooking Creme to prepare a dish that is definitely restaurant-worthy! There were a lot of scene-stealing recipes submitted to the Delicious Dream Trips competition, but the CHICKEN LEMONO AND ORZO recipe submitted by RHONDA MORRISON was exquisite! You can take a peek at Rhonda’s dish below.
Nice work Rhonda! We would definitely order this in a restaurant!

I love your energy Rhonda!!! Wonderful job with this delicious recipe. I love lemon in cooking. -
Great recipe. My meyer's lemon tree produces January through December, so I'm always looking for recipes that incorporate lemons. Lemons are one thing that I never run out of. I make limoncello, an Italian liquer and sometimes when I want to make a fancy decoration for a cake, I will take lemon leaves, wash them well; then coat the undersides in dark melted chocolate, freeze the leaves, then remove the chocolate and you have a perfect dark chocolate lemon-flavored leaf. I do the same with my lime, grapefruit and oranges leaves. Easy, eye appealing and delicious. -
RWOP Girl I have used lemons and/or limes to fill glass see-through vases filled with whole or sliced lemons or limes or a mix of both in water! This hides the stems so well and adds charm to the fresh flower arrangements/centerpieces. Right now in my dining room area on my mini bar, I have 3 tall glass cylinders filled with artificial lemons, limes and pears! I love these colors too! -

Laurie Figone......so jealous of your Meyer Lemon Tree..they are sooooo wonderful. It's hard to get those here. We have those little dried up knots called lemons. Those little knots sometimes will only give you a tablespoon or so of juice. There are folks who grow the Meyer Lemons here but they don't ripen until Dec or Jan here. Enjoy your bounty! -
RWOP Girl, I have a Meyer Lemon tree...and yes, I have used them as a centerpiece!! Oh, that lovely aroma is wonderful!! I just picked two huge boxes of lemons, juiced them and put the juice in the freezer...now I'm set : )) -

Rhonda, a great use of chicken, orzo pasta and lemons. A winning recipe! Congratulations on spotlight! -
Way to go Rhonda. Spotlight of the day is so fun! Plus we are reminded of your wonderful lemony dish!
RWOP Girl, I have used lemons as part of a floral centerpiece by threading them onto heavy wire and looping them in and around where you want them to lay. Maybe even letting them hang from a vase. Lemon leaves are pretty incredible themselves used underneath the edge of a cake plate or elsewhere. But then, there's nothing as elegant as a large bowl of lemons on the counter to make a statement. -

Totally in love with the way Rhonda used lemons in this dish! It's such a great idea for the summer! Does anyone feel like they always have lemons in the fridge or laying around the kitchen? Who here uses them for a centerpiece? -
All the right ingredients for a easy, quick and tasty entree. Congratulations on being today's Greek style recipe spotlight! -
